Convert Word to Text – Remove MS Word Formatting

Clean up Microsoft Word formatting and convert it to plain text with this tool. Just copy the text from your Word document (97,98,2000,2007, etc.) into the top field, and press the “Clean Original Article” button.

Original Article – paste your original article here

Cleaned Article – your original article will show up here after Word formatting is removed

This Word-to-text conversion tool is provided free of charge from this website but I added a couple of buttons and a couple of features to it.

    This is so good!

We use Moodle for our college and our students – naturally – paste in text from Word to their assignments. However the code that is produced is just horrendous.

    This is a lifesaver.

    Thank you!
