Link Baiting with Article Marketing
This post is kind of an example of my reinforced link building method that I discussed a couple of months back. While this is still a theory on my part, mostly because I haven’t explicitly tried this method yet -as I learn more and more about how inbound links affect a website’s standing – I know that this method will work to improve a website’s search engine rankings and definitely the visibility of a website.
Where do you draw the line?
When you’re a freelance writer, especially if you become popular or well-known for your writing abilities, chances are you’ll have the opportunity to write on a wide variety of topics. While being able to cover a multitude of different topics will help you to land more jobs, there should be lines that you do not cross. And, it’s not just about stepping into an unknown territory where you’re under-qualified to write – it’s that ethical line that, if crossed, may change the way that others look at you and/or the services that you provide.
Removing the HR Line from Word
It was an annoying bugger that I couldn’t figure out – I was having a problem removing what I thought was the horizontal rule <hr> tag from Microsoft Word. Try as I would… I couldn’t get it to go away; I couldn’t delete it with the delete key nor the backspace key, I couldn’t select it with the cursor… it was driving me mad.
Writing Experiment Update
This experiment has grown stale, and that’s in part because of my frustration with Associated Content and because of my busy schedule running itself into the holiday season.
For these reasons I am going to change the parameters of the experiment. Namely, I am going to continue on, as I have time, writing and submitting content to these two resources for freelance writers but instead of calculating my earnings over a fixed period of time, I am going to calculate earnings on an hourly basis. As per my last post I was at $6.64 an hour, but I’ve received a bit more from Associated Content as a performance bonus, but it’s only one article with limited views… so it’s not a lot more.
Freelance Writing Experiment
This is just a quick update as to the status of my little freelance writing experiment. Actually though, there’s not much of an update at this moment.
