Article directory submissions, AKA article marketing, is a fantastic way to improve your website’s visibility, increase traffic to your website, and to enhance your website’s on-page optimization efforts. As an internet marketing company, we not only utilize article directory submissions on a regular basis, we test the results of our submissions.
From the approval timeframe, to the average number of days that it takes for a submitted article to show up in search engines, we track and test these results.
We are listing only what we feel are the best-of-the-best in terms of article directories on this page. In all honesty, we’re not paying too much attention to the Page Rank of a directory nor the Alexa ranking — our most important “ranking factors”, if you will, are the speed by which the articles are approved, and actually show up in search engines.

Please add freearticletrove.com to the list. This directory has a large database of articles in several categories and authors can submit unlimited number of articles and gain valuable back links to their websites.
When I checked the domain you mentioned, at the time of your comment, the home page wasn’t even in Google’s cache and it was, and currently is, in “gray bar” status (Toolbar page rank). Moreover, while there were pages showing up in Google’s index, they were category pages, and few, if any, articles appeared to be indexed. Also, the Alexa rank for this domain is very, very low — from my experience, the type of people who submit articles to article directories tend to have the Alexa toolbar installed.
All of this, to me, makes it seem like this article directory has very low visibility and a small number of users. Because of the age of the domain and the fact that the home page is showing as “unranking” according to the Google toolbar page rank, I removed links to the site just in case.
Once the domain has better visibility in search engines, feel free to resubmit a request. I won’t add the directory here automatically, as I do not add article directories to this page until I have tested them out myself.
Hi, a new site your missing is theworldlyrics.com, found here; The World Lyrics -User generated News. It would be good to see that make the post, the display and ease of search and discovery there is second to none IMO, when compared to the listed.
This list is not ‘missing’ your site — we test every article directory before it ends up on this list, and we have never heard of your website before now. I think that your site has potential, but the focus may be a bit narrow for general use (not really a bad thing, just saying). However, this is something that we will be testing out in the future, it’s definitely worth a look.

I have used several of the directories above. Ezine Articles seems to be one of the better ones for SEO, since my search engine traffic did increase noticeably after I submitted some articles there. However, when you’ve just signed up it does take a while to get the articles approved. The process speeds up a lot (to around a couple of days) after you have submitted ten, however.
