How to Send a DMCA Takedown Notice
Not too long ago I found out that somebody stole an article from my website. Now, I’m familiar with the process of getting web hosting companies to remove unauthorized content as it should be a regular practice for freelance writers when clients fail to pay, and subsequently use, content. However, while I have a decent amount of experience in getting stolen content removed from websites, not everybody does.
So, in light of my recent experience, I found this post on how to do the whole “DMCA takedown notice” thing.
I’m not going to get into everything that this other blog posted, as it’s pretty comprehensive… though, I wanted to share it here since I am receiving some hits based on my last post about the DMCA and stolen website content.
So, here’s the link to show you the hows and wheres of sending a DMCA request:

Nice. I am glad you shared this. I know some of my posts are copied by other webmasters without linking back to me or giving any credit whatsoever. Though I wouldn’t go to higher steps but contacting ISP / Hosting provider using mail seems easy (if it works)
Have you noticed an increase in the number of comments since installed KeywordLuv? I’ve been considering using it on a blog I own and need some honest feedback.
