Basically I was thinking that once you receive an inbound link from an authority site, which can be done fairly-easily if you employ a form of selective article marketing, you build up the link popularity of the "linked from" page with forum postings, blog postings or even mainstream article marketing. All of this being said, I'll say this. I have multiple websites hosted on the same server, and all of my websites have the same IP address. It seems that I get much more benefit out of receiving inbound links from other websites (different IP addresses) than I do from links from my own websites. Based on what I've seen with my own websites, if you're trying to build the link popularity of an authority website linking back to one of your other websites it might be construed as a reciprocal link. However, this is beyond my scope of knowledge and I may be way off-base on this one. Hopefully this clear up what I was referring to, though. Would this mean using other websites you control to link to the authority website? “…and then begin to build links to the authority website that is linking to your website.”

Would this mean using other websites you control to link to the authority website?
