Tip for finding freelance writing jobs using Google and Craigslist
As a freelance writer, your income is derived from your ability to find paying work. You can absolutely use the resources available on our job postings page, but that really doesn’t cover a lot of ground.
Something I’ve found that works out well when searching for writing gigs is to use Google & Craigslist, and this method seems to show some relevant results. While you will have to filter out some of the older postings as well as the postings that are location specific; it is more than possible that you find your ‘writing goldmine’ by using this method.
It’s pretty simple, actually. Just go to Google and type in the words “freelance writer site:craigslist.org” without the quotation marks; you could also just click this link.
This will give you a nice assortment of posting on Craigslist that pertain to freelance writers. You can also do with with other terms; such as: technical writer, blogger, blog, finance writer, magazine writer, newspaper writer, etc. It’s such a simple way for you to easily find they type of writing job that suits your needs and talents, I thought I should share it here with you.
So – to cover it again, just enter the topic you are searching for in to Google’s search box followed by site:craigslist.org. It’s a super easy, and free, way for you to find a writing job at your convenience.
If you have any other tips on how to easily find writing jobs, I would love to hear about it.
